I just watched our president, as he addressed that conglomeration of United Nation’s Radical Environmentalists, and I can’t quite decide whether he is arrogant, just lying, or incredibly stupid! I believe it is a combination of those “attributes!” This man, who most definitely is arrogant, made a patently stupid statement when he said: “climate change is unacceptable!” Is this man for real? Climate change is “unacceptable”; this is an arrogant statement, as if anyone can do anything about the fact that the climate changes! If this man is to be believed, he honestly thinks that we can stop the climate from changing! In his vision of the socialist utopia, that he conspires with the UN to foist upon the United States, and the world, is the world constantly at 72%, with no hurricanes, no tsunamis, no blizzards, no sand storms, no torrential downpours, no “change?”
This is a ridiculous assumption on anyone’s part! Don’t misunderstand me here; I am not saying that we shouldn’t do all that we can to have cleaner air, and cleaner water. If we can make coal cleaner burning, certainly we should do that! If we can make the burning of oil a cleaner process, certainly we should do that! If we can improve the cleanliness of our waterways, certainly we should do that! What I am saying is this: there is no way that we can stop the climate from changing, no matter what we do! No draconian tax program, or limitation of the use of fossil fuels, or anyone’s good intentions, will stop the climate from changing! If the president is sincere, then he is incredibly stupid, and he can’t have it both ways!
Millions of years ago, an entire “race” disappeared from the face of the earth, a race that had dominated all others for millions of years; it simply disappeared! I am not speaking of the human race that is obvious; I am speaking of a race that never cohabited this planet with mankind, I speak of the dinosaurs! Notwithstanding some very good science fiction movies, no man ever lived that saw a dinosaur! And, yet they disappeared! Our radical environmentalists obviously could never prove that man had anything to do with the extinction of the dinosaur, so I would wager they would come up with some explanation that would make their current (non)science relevant. For instance: dinosaurs were huge critters, many weighing in at tens of tons, and they existed in great numbers! Therefore, as today’s cows, and other various farm animals, they certainly must have produced immense amounts of flatulence! That’s what did it! Just one too many 40 ton dinosaurs, literally farted their race out of existence! Absurd you say? No more so than the president claiming that we can “unaccept” the fact that the climate changes, I respond!
We should all remember one very sound and immutable fact: “It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature!”
