It is time to demand what is ours!

oil and gas well at sunset6Before I express my opinion, please read this:

Stansberry Report Online – 4/20/2006

Hidden 1,000 feet beneath the surface of the Rocky Mountains lies the largest untapped oil reserve in the world. It is more than 2 TRILLION barrels.   On August 8, 2005 President Bush mandated its extraction.  In three and a half years of high oil prices none has been extracted. With this mother load of oil why are we still fighting over offshore drilling? They reported this stunning news:  We have more oil inside our borders, than all the other proven reserves on earth. Here are the official estimates:
- 8-times as much oil as Saudi Arabia
- 18-times as much oil as Iraq
- 21-times as much oil as Kuwait
- 22-times as much oil as Iran
- 500-times as much oil as Yemen
- and it’s all right here in the Western United States .
HOW can this BE? HOW can we NOT BE extracting this? Because the environmentalists and others have blocked all efforts to help America become independent of foreign oil! Again, we are letting a small group of people dictate our lives and our economy!

Up until just recently, the primary opposition to our development of these vast oil resources, was the now thoroughly debunked “global warming” scam. It is an interesting side note, that those environmental extremists are being funded, at least in part, by guess who? The Arab oil-producing nations, and I wonder why!
“We the People”, of the United States of America, own enough oil to sustain our Nation for well over a thousand years! And, with such abundance, there is no reason why we cannot have cheap energy, as well as abundant energy. As a matter of fact, the United States could become the world’s price-setter for crude oil. That’s correct, we could replace OPEC as the top-producer! Much of the oil money that we send to those sheikdoms is being used to fund terrorist activities against us, and that is insanity!
Considering the condition of our economy, just imagine how many new jobs would be created if “We the People” decided to go after all of the abundant energy resources that we own right here in this Nation: oil, natural gas, and coal! We put a man on the moon; we can certainly design a process that will make the burning of fossil fuels cleaner! Certainly we should continue to pursue alternative energy sources, but let no one fool you, solar and wind energy are not the answer, at least not yet! Neither of those is economically produced in sufficient quantities to offset our reliance on fossil fuels. This economy (a capitalist economy), if it survives Obama’s attempt to destroy it, runs on fossil fuel! Obama’s solution to the “energy crisis” (a false crisis considering what we own right here), is to tax our use of energy until we cannot afford it! It was Obama who said that he wanted our energy costs to “skyrocket”, his word, not mine! It was Obama who said that he would “bankrupt” the coal industry, once again, his word, not mine! And, it is Obama’s Energy Secretary, a Mr. Chu, who said that he wants gasoline to go to $8.00 per gallon, once again, his words, not mine!
And, none of that is necessary, the reasoning behind such draconian efforts has been proven to be a lie, global warming is a lie!
If “We the People” go after those resources, thousands of new jobs will be created, and many existing (and now struggling) businesses and industries will be reinvigorated! How many geologists will it take to plot those fields? How many engineers will it take to devise the methodology for extraction of those resources? How many refineries will need to be built, and staffed, and who will supply the steel and concrete and piping that are necessary to construct them? How many oilrigs will be erected, who will staff them, and who will sell that equipment? Will new pipelines be needed, and who will sell and erect them? How about trucks and trains for shipping supplies and recovered resources? How about new roads? I see this one thing giving an immeasurable boost to this lagging economy!
But, we can’t have OUR OIL, OUR NATURAL GAS, AND OUR COAL, because Obama and his socialist Congress don’t want this Nation to get back on its feet! It is time to DEMAND that “We the People” be allowed to enjoy the resources that “We the People” own, by birthright! That’s how I see it!

Folks, if you haven’t noticed, “We The People” do not have much to do with running this nation. If you cannot spread lots of cash around the politicians, you have zero influence. Congress has a remarkable reelection rate. The House hovers around a 98% reelection rate year after year. Senate? Nearly that high, usually around 94-96%. Even when polls say 90% of voters think Congress does NOT do a good job.

One reason we cannot drill in America is because there is no one there to hand out Mega-Bucks to make it happen. However, there is a large group interested in maintaining the current situation.

    Bud,

Thanks for the input. Now the question is… What do we do to change this?

I hope we hear from you often!

Americas only chance to survive in the Founding Fathers original concept is for there to be an explosion of education. The knowledge base of the average citizen is decidedly lacking in history (among other things).

We must teach people via this medium (news outlets are “managed” by Big $) how our political leaders conduct business. Things like “Riders” on Legislation that will most certainly pass the vote. Of course, the rider that is attached to it would not stand on its own merit, so it is slipped into another Bill.

Political contributions that are influence buying methods of various businesses and individuals. Lobbyists that walk the Halls of Congress mandating Legislation. The list of questionable actions that are perpetrated against the citizens of America is endless…

What ever happened to honesty? Integrity? The good of the people? Why do we have professional politicians that stay in office for 40 years? Why do we have Congressmen that “forgot” to declare $75,000 of income on their tax returns? Or, get burned in FBI stings taking $100,000 in marked money found hidden in their home freezer.

Why do polls indicate that 90% of Americans think Congress is not doing a good job, but their reelection rate is always 95 to 98%? Do we think politicians are idiots, except the idiot we vote in office over and over again?
